Kurt Goos

General Manager, Corporate Vice President

Mr. Goos has spent the past 25 years in a variety of leadership roles within the healthcare and medical device industries. Prior to joining Ametek, Mr. Goos was Worldwide General Manager of Digital Output Solutions at Carestream Health, a global provider of medical imaging systems and healthcare information technology solutions. Prior to that, he had responsibility for corporate marketing and planning as well as mergers and acquisitions for St. Jude Medical. He has held a number of general management, marketing and business development positions with several leading medical device manufacturers, including St. Jude Medical, Medtronic and Boston Scientific. Mr. Goos has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas.

Mark Semkoff

Division Vice President and Business Unit Manager, Medical Interconnects

Mr. Semkoff leads the Medical Interconnects business unit within the Engineered Medical Components Division. Mr. Semkoff has over 20 years of management experience with the last 15 years focused within the medical device industry. Prior to joining Medical Interconnects, Mr. Semkoff held leadership roles in companies serving the automotive and consumer lighting markets, and as an operations consultant. Mr. Semkoff is an Oklahoma native and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University.

Chad Carson

Division Vice President and Business Unit Manager, Medical Precision Components

Mr. Carson leads the Medical Precision Components business unit within the Engineered Medical Components Division. Mr. Carson has 25 years of experience in general management with an emphasis on manufacturing operations. Mr. Carson has spent the last 15 years managing contract manufacturing within the medical device industry. Mr. Carson joined Ametek through the acquisition of Avicenna Technology where along with being a founder, he served as president of the business. Mr. Carson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Davis.

Melanie Vollmer

Division Vice President, Finance

Ms. Vollmer serves as the Vice President of Finance for the Engineered Medical Components Division. Ms. Vollmer has more than 20 years of experience in Accounting (CPA-Inactive), General Management, Human Resources and Finance with more than 15 years in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Ametek, Ms. Vollmer led both the Finance, and Human Resources functions for Coloplast Manufacturing based out of Minneapolis, MN. Ms. Vollmer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Alex Denogean

Division Vice President, Global Sales

Mr. Denogean leads global sales for the Engineered Medical Components Division encompassing both Medical Interconnects and Medical Precision Components. Mr. Denogean has served in a variety of roles over the past 20 years in both medical device and contract manufacturing.   Prior to joining Ametek, Mr. Denogean was responsible global sales, marketing and business development for Raydiance. Prior to that he held multiple sales leadership and account management roles with Honeywell and Medtronic. Mr. Denogean holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California Irvine and a Master’s degree from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota with an emphasis in Marketing and Strategy.

Keith Hug

Division Vice President, Human Resources

Mr. Hug leads Human Resources for the Engineered Medical Components Division.  He has spent the past 15 years in senior human resources leadership roles within the Medical Device and Financial Services industries at Medtronic, AGA Medical, and Deluxe.  In these roles he had extensive acquisition due diligence experience and led global integration planning and execution for human resources and operations. Mr. Hug has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Northern Michigan University and a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Loyola University Chicago.

Erick Johnson

Division Vice President, Global Marketing and Commercial Operations

Mr. Johnson leads global marketing and commercial operations for the Engineered Medical Components Division. For the past 20 years, he has served in a variety of business development and marketing roles for Medtronic, the Sorin Group, and St. Jude Medical. Prior to joining Ametek Engineered Medical Components, Mr. Johnson led a consulting practice servicing clients in the medical device and contract manufacturing markets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from St. Olaf College and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Hamline University.
